I once experienced a bad problem working with DVD-R and got so much troublesome effect from it. It happened last year when I was doing my thesis and needed to burn all the data in a crucial time. I used any DVD-R I could find but it seemed that there was something wrong with that. My professor could not find anything in that DVD-R; it was blank. The burning process was not successfully done and I did not save anything. It was so annoying and making my professor got mad and lost her mood to assist me for several days. Since that very day, I never use DVD-R without making a previous observation about the quality and its compatibility.
