Sandy Bridge, Future Intel Processors
Monday, September 20th, 2010As the events prior to the IDF, Intel Developer Forum, San Francisco 13-15 September 2010 Intel introduced its latest technology. The focus this time is one of a new processor, code-named Sandy Bridge.
Compared to previous technology, performance enhancements, the energy efficiency, as well as some related functions visualization technology directly embedded microprocessor chip.
As we all know, the first mengintregasikan Intel graphics processors to PC in 2009. Second-generation graphics processor, and will begin in the fourth quarter of 2010 production.
“This new technology provides better CPU and graphics between the components integration, providing performance and strengthen energy management,” said Perlmutter Executive Vice President and General Manager of Intel Architecture Business Unit Manager, and his testimony Friday, 2010 September 17.
Perlmutter said the integration of this technology is clear, the device has a high mobility of the important. “Moore’s Law allows the graphics processor, Intel invested more space,” he said. “The implementation will improve performance while lowering the cost of each new generation of processors.”
Sand bridge line processor architecture will be equipped with a ‘ring’ that allows integrated graphics processor core, shared resources, such as increased computing power and graphics cache, while maintaining energy efficiency.
In the sand bridge, Intel Turbo Boost technology offers better. This feature will automatically move or relocate resources or graphics processor to improve performance when necessary direct.
In graphic terms, to provide technical focus of the most frequently used areas of computer users today. These include the use of high-definition video, three-dimensional, the mainstream of the game, more tasiking, multimedia and social networking. Graphics Sandy Bridge have also been supported DirectX 11
